Unlike other models on the market, these USB speakers require only one USB port for both audio and power, saving you from added desktop clutter. These deceptively simple speakers feature a glossy finish, and three buttons for volume and mute control. While the Logitech S150 computer speakers are great for listening in the office or at home, they are also highly portable for use with laptops. With a frequency response of 90 hertz to 20 kilohertz, a power output of 1.2 watts combined, and USB connectivity, you cannot go wrong with this simple pair of speakers that delivers great sound. The Logitech S150 2.0 digital computer speakers are a good choice for budget-conscious consumers looking for easy portability with a USB connection. The speakers draw power and stream audio from a single USB cable. This is very convenient since you won’t have to use other connections or cables with your computer system. The speakers feature a standard-sized USB port and don’t have a 3.5 millimeter stereo audio jack, so they won’t work with your mobile phone or Apple iPad. This speaker system weighs only 1.12 pounds, and is easily portable for use with laptops, as well as for home computer users. The speakers are not wireless, but since they only require one cable, there is not much clutter. This set features a satellite base that has been designed for greater stability on your desk or worktop. There is no special software required to set up your Logitech S150 computer speakers, and they provide powerful multimedia sound right out of the box. One of the speakers features three buttons to control volume, or mute the sound altogether. There is an LED power indicator light on one of the speakers, so you can easily see that it’s working properly. Measuring 6.7 by 5.7 by 3 inches, the speakers are small enough to place behind your computer system or in the corners of your desk. The speakers come with a 47-inch USB cable that also transports digital audio signals. Requiring very little power to run, the Logitech S150 speakers won’t rapidly drain the battery charge on your laptop. They don’t require an AC adapter since you can plug them right into your computer systems USB port. These speakers have a total power rating of 1.2 watts RMS, and do come with an integrated woofer; there is no provision to add an external subwoofer. This speaker system features 2-inch drivers and a frequency response of 90 hertz to 20 kilohertz, providing a satisfying bass and treble performance. The Logitech S150 speakers do not have RCA ports, so that external amplifiers and AV receivers won’t work with this speaker unit. Logitech S150 - Very nice little speakers for casual PC use
Ordered as a quick-fix for display-audio which disappeared during an update. The speakers are so unobtrusive and the sound so much improved that I have ordered four pairs in all, to replace all display audio output on office PCs. Granted, I am using these in a casual application, just office work, collaborative meetings, background music, but for such uses these are nearly perfect. The only suggestion I have for 5 stars is to make the speakers separable by a plug-in connector. I have not used the three control buttons at all - just plugged them in and worked fine!Ordered as a quick-fix for display-audio which disappeared during an update. Yes, the price is low $12 or so but the quality is not so good and the 3 buttons are impossible to read. + - mute. You need a magnifying glass and the is ONLY a small movement of volume at best. LOUD or NOTHING. I wrote to return but ON response from Vender so I am no happy at all!!! Perhaps you've seen so-called USB speakers in electronics stores, the ones that include two cables -- one for USB, one for audio line-out. Incredibly, the USB cable on those speaker sets is merely a power plug for sucking juice from your computer, and I say "incredible" because from the very beginning USB has been all about direct digital audio. Way back in 1996 the USB standard defined USB Audio devices, peripherals that exchange digital audio directly with the host. They are literally the number one predefined device for USB, identified by Class Code 01; thumb drives are merely Class Code 08. All modern Macs and PC's since 1998 have supported USB Audio input and output. What this means is that a true USB speaker set should take its signal directly from the USB port and in digital form ... Perhaps you've seen so-called USB speakers in electronics stores, the ones that include two cables -- one for USB, one for audio line-out. Incredibly, the USB cable on those speaker sets is merely a power plug for sucking juice from your computer, and I say "incredible" because from the very beginning USB has been all about direct digital audio. Logitech is one of the few equipment makers who take true USB Audio seriously. I've been buying their stuff since the Nineties, since it was Altec Lansing's stuff, and I'm pleased to say that Logitech's S-150 USB Speakers prove to be an excellent buy as well. What You Get No driver disks, power bricks or patch cables spill out of the package; instead there are just two twin 7 x 3 x 2 inch enclosures joined by a 38-inch speaker wire. A rooted USB cable typical in thickness and length to a corded mouse hangs from the Right-hand enclosure, which houses all the electronics and controls; the Left-hand enclosure is simply a speaker. Controls consist of three chromed buttons marked "- mute +" which as you'd expect adjust the volume and mute the speakers. A discreet green LED signals that you've got power, lighting up a domed "DIGITAL" transparency neatly inset in the right speaker grille. The sound from these speakers is not heavy on the bass, but bass adds weight and these are flyweight devices, less than half a pound between the two of them. What they are is efficient -- on just 2.5 watts of USB power these S-150's can punch right through crowd noise or fill a small room with powerful, nuanced mid-to-high range sound. Just as pleasing are the silences that are possible with these speakers; you've never heard quiet passages quite as quiet on your analog line-out speakers as on direct-digital ones. You'll notice slight microphone pops and fretboard sounds that you wouldn't even catch on earphones, and if you hear hiss you'll know it's recorded hiss, not your equipment. Logitech designed these with laptops and netbooks in mind, but they are just as useful for desktops. Again, if you expect butthumping bass response from these flyweight units you'll be disappointed, but how many of us really rock out at our computers anyway? They work great in my small home office application, tucked away behind a 22-inch monitor where I used to keep a much larger, muddier-sounding $15 set from da big-box store. They don't use a power brick so they free up a power plug, and there are a lot less wires snarled behind my machine now. You may be wondering, how difficult is it to start using S-150 speakers? Are there registry edits, driver updates, magic spells? Nope. It's as effortless as plugging in a keyboard. I've used mine with a Mac and a Windows PC without trouble. The drivers are already there, waiting for you to make the choice...the choice for quality, convenience and value. Please, shop Logitech's total line and you may opt for the S-150's like I did. Anything but fake USB speakers!

For the price they are crystal clear and work great. Not much Bass and had to turn my laptop's volume down a notch to make the speakers sound less cracklish or distorted. I am happy with them and will serve the purpose intended which is rocking out in my camper on vacations.

I recently created an affordable gaming set up for our son with a new Samsung gaming monitor, however the only thing it lacked was speakers which he prefers when he has company to watch YouTube and movies. These speakers were out of box, ready to use with his PS4, they are incredibly affordable, easy set up and the clarity for the price is remarkable.
